Challenge

The Åsgard Subsea Compression Project included 4,500t subsea compression station with two parallel trains each 11.5MW, flow manifold, flowlines, power umbilicals and cables, spools and MEG lines.   

Scope

The work scope completed by Nobleseas Engineering team member:

  • Management of installation contractor for installation of umbilicals, fibre optic, and power cables, MEG lines including handling of UTAs and offshore cable splicing operations;
  • Prepare shut down philosophy for Åsgard A & B for optimised offshore installation campaign and to obtain required work permits; and
  • Worked as company representative on-board North Sea Giant Installation vessel (Vigdis umbilical installation campaign) for spread familiarisation and suitability assessment.
