Challenge
Perform the marine engineering scope for converting LNG carrier to Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU)
Scope
- LNG Pumping and Piping System modification (LNG loading/unloading, venting, pumping system etc)
- Upgradation of Glycol-water based heating medium.
- Foundation design of major equipment modules or skids (Vaporiser units, Electric heaters, metering skid, Gas offloading unit)
- Installation of manifold related equipment and fittings (ERC, QCDC, FAS, HPPU etc)
- Upgradation of Fire and Gas Detection System
- Electrical load analysis
- Modification for MSB (addition of Distribution Panel) , Transformers, Breakers, distribution boards to meet FSRU requirement
We have also completed plan appraisal and project management for the conversion of a 270M Oil tanker to FSO
Our scope covered was as follows:
- Global Strength & Fatigue Analysis
- New Boilers, Helideck
- Bow manifold, Offloading Platform
- Metering skid
- 12-point Mooring System along with Winches, etc.
- Bow Loading Platform
- Tandem Mooring System
- New pipelines for Produce Water Line
- Modification of existing pipeline for Bow Loading and Stern Discharge
- Conversion of Ballast Tanks into Cargo Tanks
